Pre Clearance Fauna/Habitat Inspection & Surveys

A Pre-Clearance Fauna Habitat Inspection and Survey service involves assessing the project area for the presence of wildlife and habitat before any land clearing begins. This thorough inspection typically includes:

Fauna Rescue, Relocation & Translocation

Our role as Fauna Spotter Catchers is to protect and conserve wildlife while facilitating your development projects.

Fauna Rescue:  We safely capture and relocate animals such as koalas, possums, snakes, and other species, ensuring minimal stress and harm to the wildlife. We prioritise the welfare of the animals, providing necessary care and support before relocation.

Relocation:  We then relocate animals to a safe and suitable habitat. We identify areas that closely match the natural habitat of the species, ensuring their long-term survival. This process involves careful handling and transportation to reduce the animals’ stress levels.

Translocation:  is similar to relocation but involves moving wildlife to entirely new areas, often far from their original habitat.  We ensure that translocated animals are released into areas where they can adapt and thrive, coordinating with environmental authorities to identify appropriate new locations for the species.

Habitat Creation, Enhancement & Replacement

Fauna Spotter Catcher play a key role in habitat creation, enhancement, and replacement to support the conservation of wildlife during land clearing projects. These services are essential for maintaining and restoring ecosystems disrupted by such projects.

Habitat Creation:  We design and implement artificial habitats to replace or supplement natural ones that have been lost or degraded. This may involve installing artificial nesting boxes, hollows, or shelters that mimic natural habitats, providing spaces for wildlife such as birds, possums, and bats to nest, breed, and thrive.

Habitat Enhancement:  Enhancement involves improving the quality and safety of existing wildlife habitats. We assess current habitats and make improvements by adding features like logs, rocks, or vegetation that better support local fauna.
